Приложение SOFTWARE NAME собирает информацию для проведения исследований об использовании смартфонов и планшетов, включая информацию о том, каким образом и когда используются функциональные возможности или другие приложения устройства, а также информацию о местоположении устройства при его использовании.
Защита ваших данных имеет для нас первостепенное значение. Данные, собранные с помощью соответствующего программного обеспечения и в ходе проведения опросов, останутся анонимными и будут храниться отдельно от ваших персональных данных в строгом соответствии с международным законодательством о защите данных и профессиональными правилами поведения, принятыми в среде компаний, занимающихся изучением рынков.</p>

<b>What is SOFTWARE NAME?</b>
</p>

SOFTWARE NAME is a mobile research application (“app”) that works in the background of your mobile phone to study your mobile internet usage and device usage in general. Your privacy and security are of the utmost importance to us such that we will not record, for example, key strokes or contents of message you’ll send. Please see below and the privacy disclosure agreement for details on recorded activities. If you wish, you can easily uninstall the application at any time.</p>

<b>How to remove the app?</b>
</p>
<p>
The app can be removed like any other app on the Android phone. The collection of data completely stops after removing the app.

<b>Does the mobile application affect my mobile internet costs and/or traffic volume?</b>
</p>
<p>
SOFTWARE NAME could cause additional costs if an internet flat rate is not included in your mobile contract.
On Android devices, a data-connection will only be established via your domestic network-provider, but not via roaming while you stay abroad. In that case, transmission will be postponed until your return and then completed via your domestic mobile communications provider. However, data will be transmitted via Wi-Fi, regardless of the roaming situation. If you are connected to a Wi-Fi, data will be uploaded.
Please note: On iOS devices, you will need to disable roaming when abroad in order to prevent Digital Trends App from communicating via your cellular connection, using roaming.
The data-packages will be very small, however, depending on your contract, additional costs may apply.

<b>What data is recorded by the mobile application?</b>
</p>
<p>
The mobile application records general information about your smartphone (e.g. device type, brand and model, version of operating system) as well as information about the daily usage, for example, the URLs of the pages you visit on the internet and which apps you use. The Digital Trends App is not able to record contents of phone calls or messages or see pictures you take. For details, please refer to the privacy disclosure agreement which can be found in the main screen of the app

<b>Is personal data also recorded?</b>
</p>

We will not (!) collect any personal information such as passwords, usernames, conversations or any contents of secured / encrypted transmissions such as the contents of web-pages loaded through HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure). The protection of your data is of the utmost importance to us.

<b>Can the collected data be linked with me?</b>
</p>
<p>
No. The data collected through the app and during surveys will be kept separately from any of your personal data in strict compliance with international data-protection legislation and the professional rules of conduct of the market research industry. Data will always be analysed in an aggregated manner, i.e., for larger groups of participants in this research but never on an individual level, and no personally identifiable information will be shared with third parties outside the GfK group .

<b>Does the mobile application slow down or in any way impair the usage of the mobile browser or the mobile device itself?</b>
</p>
<p>
No. The mobile application works as a silent observer in the background. However, you may receive invites to surveys and notifications when configuration of the app is required.

<b>The “About & Help” page doesn’t contain my household ID and user ID Will this affect my participation in the study?</b>
</p>

Please contact the panel helpdesk and provide your name, mobile phone number and email address.

<b>“Force close” error message keeps appearing on my Android™ phone.</b>
</p>
<p>
Please try to re-install the app. If the error message reoccurs, please contact you panel support helpdesk to report this.
</p>
<p>
<b>How much battery does the mobile application drain?</b>
</p>
<p>
The app is designed to minimise additional battery drain. However, depending on the usage of the device, it may have a noticeable impact.

<b>I need to re-install the mobile application. Where can I get a new download link?</b>
</p>
<p>
Please contact your panel service team. They will provide you with a link to download the app again.
</p>

<b>Can I switch from WiFi to Mobile connection?</b>
</p>
<p>
For the app, it doesn’t make a difference whether you are using a WiFi or mobile internet connection. The app will always use the available connection, implying that, if no WiFi connection is available, it will use the mobile connection (if enabled).

<b>I have a new phone, but the same SIM card. What do I do?</b>
</p>
<p>
The App must be downloaded/installed again onto the new device. Please contact the helpdesk (see contact details at the end of this FAQ) and request a new activation code.
